Sometimes things just seem to match up really well, like back in 2008 when I Am So Me was formed. It all started with four guys being tired of doing the same kind of death metal-inspired music as everyone around them, trying to create something different. They sat down and decided that nothing about a band could be more important than having fun when you play your music.

As they were trying to make the experience of their music more of a fun package they started to gain fans and all of a sudden they were on stage at the finals of the competition Bandit Unsigned. They didn't just perform; they actually won the whole thing, crowning them Best Swedish Unsigned Live-band 2009.

With success comes what? That's right, more success. Getting out of the battle victorious brought a great opportunity to record a single and releasing it with help from one of the largest Scandinavian independent music-labels, Cosmos Music Group. Through the Cosmos rock label, Supernova Records, they put out their first single, Nothing Like You (August 2010). But that wasn't all. That led to a second single, The Good Guy Gets The Girl (February 2011) which later on was followed up with a full length album called Bling Bling Ka-Ching (April 2011). Around that time they were also nominated as Best Swedish Breakthrough at Bandit Rock Awards 2011.

Following up their album, I Am So Me played at Peace and Love, the biggest festival in Sweden. About 800 people came to see these colorful guys (full house indeed) and no one left with a frown. Their skills to produce energy on stage were compared to a minor power plant by local journalists who also compared them with pop/punk legends Green Day.

Nothing seems to be stopping these guys and all we know is that there will be a lot more stories to tell when time lets these boys grow into their suits and reach their full potential. Pop/punk might have been asleep for a while but it's time to set the alarm, I Am So Me is just about to get up and with the sound of a heavy mash-up between Blink 182 and Backstreet Boys they are ready to take the world by storm.
